Storm damage is stressful. Here is how the process usually works, and where we help.

Step by step

1. Protect your home. If water is coming in, call or text us right away so we can help limit the damage.
2. Get a free inspection. We document the damage with drone photos and video, slope by slope.
3. Call your insurance company. Open a claim and write down your claim number and adjuster's name.
4. Meet the adjuster. We can be there when the adjuster inspects your roof, so nothing is missed.
5. Review the estimate. We go over the insurance estimate with you and flag anything that was left out.
6. Get it fixed. Once the claim is approved, we schedule the work and keep you updated.

Tips

• Report damage soon. Most policies have deadlines.
• Take your own photos of any interior leaks or stains.
• Keep receipts for emergency repairs like tarps.
• Be careful with storm chasers who show up door to door after a storm. Verify any contractor's license at verify.tn.gov.
• Your deductible is your responsibility. Be wary of anyone who offers to cover it.
